At NZMA, wāhine Māori and Pasifika are breaking down stereotypes and building futures. Dalice, Shalei, Mereana and Ngatamaine are stepping up in their steel caps to learn a trade.

“As women, we’re proving to everyone that we can make it. So don’t be afraid to put your name down and step up for trades.”

They say having female tutors and a supportive environment at NZMA showed them the endless possibilities for women in trades. It won’t be long before Dalice, Shalei, Mereana and Ngatamaine are in the workforce and inspiring others to do the same.
