If you already have a bit of experience in the construction industry, or have a Level 1 or 2 pre-trade qualification, this programme is your perfect next step.
It’s fun, practical and workshop-based and is a great stepping stone to a career as a plasterer or painter.

Skills for construction trades.
Painting and plastering: compliance, terminology and roles.

MĀORI AND PASIFIKA TRADES TRAINING (MPTT)
If you’re Māori or Pasifika and aged 16-40, you might be able to get a scholarship to pay your course fees. This course is also part of the Māori and Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT) programme. You’ll also get one-on-one career coaching, help finding work, and other learner support. You can apply for the MPTT scholarship once you’ve enrolled in your course. Ask NZMA to help apply.

Domestic applicants with English as a second language: must demonstrate sufficiency in English language at interview.
International Applicants: General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 OR equivalent under Rule 18.
