If you already have a bit of experience in the construction industry, or have a Level 1 or 2 pre-trade qualification, this programme is your perfect next step.

It’s fun, practical and workshop-based and is a great stepping stone to a career as a plasterer or painter.

MĀORI AND PASIFIKA TRADES TRAINING (MPTT)
If you’re Māori or Pasifika and aged 16-40, you might be able to get a scholarship to pay your course fees. This course is also part of the Māori and Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT) programme. You’ll also get one-on-one career coaching, help finding work, and other learner support. You can apply for the MPTT scholarship once you’ve enrolled in your course. Ask NZMA to help apply.

COURSE COSTS

  • Domestic applicants with English as a second language: must demonstrate sufficiency in English language at interview.

  • International Applicants: General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5 OR equivalent under Rule 18.

  • Successful applicants will be supported to work at heights and in confined spaces.
