Certificate in Pharmacy Technician
Our Pharmacy Technician course offers practical learning on campus and will teach you all the key skills and pharmaceutical knowledge to start your career. Plus, you’ll get 320 hours of work placement in a pharmacy retail environment while you study.
As part of studying our Pharmacy Technician Level 5 course you'll receive two qualifications
NZ Certificate in Pharmacy (Pharmacy Technician - Core) (Level 4)
NZ Certificate in Pharmacy (Pharmacy Technician - Advanced) (Level 5)
Ākonga must:
Hold the New Zealand Certificate in Pharmacy (Introduction to Pharmacy Practice) (Level 3) [Ref: 1886] Or
Have equivalent skills & knowledge working in a NZ pharmacy and hold a secondary/tertiary Qualification at NZQF Level 3 or equivalent.
Have an acceptable NZ police check prior to the beginning of the practical experience
English Language:
Domestic students with ESOL: must be proficient in English language
Additional for Distance (online) Learners:
Must be already employed (paid or voluntary) in a pharmacy for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
